Why Rochester Patients Make the Drive to Godfrey Dentistry
Rochester has plenty of dental offices, so we know patients are choosing us on purpose. Here is what they say sets us apart.
Meet the Doctor Who Welcomes Rochester Patients
Dr. Bracken Godfrey believes the best dental care comes from never finishing your education. He completed a two year residency in Comprehensive Dentistry, holds a Master of Science in Oral Biology, and earned the Academy of General Dentistry Fellowship in 2007 and Mastership in 2023. He is also a Diplomate of the American Board of General Dentistry.
He continues to learn through study clubs, including the Spear Study Club and the Woody Rupp Study Club for Clinical Excellence, and he serves as Visiting Faculty at Spear Education. That commitment shows in how carefully he plans each treatment.

Our office at 8 Clark Way in Somersworth is about a 15 minute drive south of Rochester on NH-108, also called Rochester Hill Road. The route is direct, and you turn left onto Clark Way. Our directions section above has the full route, and our team is happy to help if you need guidance.
Your first visit includes a comprehensive exam, digital X-rays and images, an evaluation of your teeth, gums, bite, and jaw, and an oral cancer screening. We then review our findings with you and explain your options in plain language. You will leave with a personalized plan. You can read more on our New Patients page.
A dental exam looks for tooth decay and other signs of disease, checks the condition of any existing fillings, crowns, or other restorations, and includes an oral cancer screening. We also evaluate your gums, bite, and jaw. Exams are usually scheduled together with a professional cleaning, which keeps your visits efficient.
Yes, we create coordinated treatment plans for patients who need many teeth repaired or replaced. Depending on your needs, a plan may include crowns, veneers, bridges, fillings, gum care, root canals, and implant restorations. We begin with a thorough evaluation and outline the order of treatment so you know what to expect. You can learn more on our full mouth rehabilitation page.
It depends on your case. A qualified specialist we coordinate with places the implant, and we design and place the custom crown, bridge, or denture that attaches to it. Some patients are able to receive teeth soon after placement, but not everyone qualifies, and healing time is an important part of the process. We will explain your options during your consultation. Learn more on our dental implants page.
Yes, dentists can help with snoring and mild to moderate sleep apnea using custom oral appliances that gently reposition the lower jaw to keep the airway open during sleep. Many patients find these devices more comfortable than a CPAP machine. We will evaluate your situation and explain whether this option is right for you. Learn more on our sleep dentistry page.
We are open Monday through Thursday from 8 am to 5 pm, and closed Friday through Sunday. If you have a dental emergency, call us right away at 603-692-2045 and we will help you as soon as we can. For severe swelling, trouble breathing, or heavy bleeding, go to the nearest emergency room first. See our emergency dentistry page for more.
We accept all dental insurance plans except Medicaid, and we are in network with Delta Dental Premier. Our team will verify your benefits before your appointment and explain your estimated costs.
